Martin Valadez Torres

Martin Valadez is currently a Board Member of Gesa Credit Union (Richland, WA) and Chair of the Compensation Committee. He has been a board member since 2012 and previously served as Vice Chair and Secretary.
Martin has a passion for helping minority, low income, immigrant and other underserved and under resourced communities. Since January 2020, he has been Regional Director of the Tri-Cities Campus of Heritage University. Prior to that, he served as Vice President for Business Development and External Affairs at Tri-Cities Community Health. He serves as Interim Executive Director for the Tri-Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Martin also serves on a number of boards, including the Tri-Cities Economic Development Council (TRIDEC), the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC), Washington Nonprofits, and the Mid-Columbia Libraries.
Martin was born in Mexico, grew up in South Central Los Angeles, and moved to the Tri-Cities Pasco in 2006 to teach at Columbia Basin College. He lives in Pasco, WA, with his wife Tanya and son George.
