Green Jobs-Green New York (GJGNY)
Description: This groundbreaking program developed by the Center for Working Families, and administered by the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA), dramatically increases homeowners’ ability to complete energy efficiency upgrades (retrofits) to their homes. This workshop will look at how the program works and a proposed pilot to expand access through CDFIs using on-bill recovery, where retrofit costs are repaid on the homeowner’s utility bill using savings from reduced energy consumption. The workshop will also highlight how on-bill recovery is offered by Craft3, a CDFI based in Washington and Oregon.
