Inclusiv Network and MemberClose Launch Partnership to Support Homeownership for the Latino Community

For Immediate Release

New York City (November 1, 2022) – Inclusiv Network, the only national association representing CDFI certified, and minority designated credit unions, and Memberclose, join forces to promote financial inclusion and homeownership opportunities for credit unions and their members, with a special focus on the Hispanic community.

Through this partnership, Inclusiv and MemberClose will work together to raise awareness among the credit unions about the opportunity and imperative that serving the Hispanic community represents for the industry’s future and relevance. The initiative seeks to empower credit unions with the tools to better meet the borrowing needs of Hispanics members and make homeownership available to everyone.

MemberClose will also become a principal partner for the association's Juntos Avanzamos program, a financial inclusion framework for credit unions serving the Hispanic, immigrant, and refugee communities. This program designates credit unions that provide critical access to responsible, affordable and sustainable financial products and services through a network of over 935 community branches serving more than 9.7 million consumers in 28 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

“We are proud to partner with MemberClose to expand access to homeownership opportunities for Hispanic and immigrant communities nationwide. This partnership will allow us to provide credit unions with additional tools and resources to expand financial inclusion and help make the dream of homeownership a reality. We are grateful to MemberClose for supporting the Juntos Avanzamos initiative and partnering with Inclusiv to promote affordable and relevant financial services for all” said Pablo DeFilippi, Executive Vice President at Inclusiv Network.

The shared vision of Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) and Pivot Lending Group drove the formation of MemberClose, LLC to create a process by which credit unions of all asset sizes can enjoy accessibility to first and second mortgage processing, fulfillment services, and mortgage origination. Enabling essential help and support to serve low-income and the underserved and champion financial inclusion in Hispanic and immigrant communities.

“MemberClose is committed to supporting Juntos Avanzamos “Together We Advance” through promoting growth of CDFI designated credit unions and the development of ITIN Lending programs that provide necessary lending to the underserved Hispanic homebuying community. These trusted credit union partnerships deliver support to create a program outlet that allows existing membership as well as new members the opportunity and confidence to realize the benefits and pride of homeownership.” -Bryant Ottaviano, CEO Pivot Lending Group.
