Wendy Soria
Credit Union Operations and Compliance Specialist
Wendy Soria is Inclusiv’s CU Operations and Compliance Specialist. She comes to Inclusiv with more than 15 years of cooperative and credit union experience. Wendy specializes in forensic accounting, corporate reconciliation, internal controls, budgeting along with other unique accounting skills. She also has extensive experience in working with the NCUA on trouble credit unions. Wendy started her career with St. Phillips FCU in 2004. It was there while working with a manual accounting system that she developed interest in the credit union world.
In 2006, Wendy gained her strong foundation and understanding of credit unions when she joined Joy Cousminer, CEO at Bethex FCU and was quickly promoted to Accounting Manager. During her eight (8) year stay at Bethex, Wendy supported Bethex’s expansion of its member services through its point of banking partnerships with check cashing and money service businesses. For the last five (5) years Wendy worked with organizations such as LOMTO FCU and Teachers FCU where she supervised various accounting functions and was instrumental in putting key accounting processes in place. During the last five years, Wendy was the liaison between these credit unions and regulatory auditors where she was very successful in reducing her team’s audit findings. As a result of her accomplishments over the years, Wendy is highly regarded among her peers as “the person” to call upon when credit unions are faced with major challenges reconciling their general ledgers. In addition to her wealth of knowledge and experience Wendy is also bi-lingual. She is fluent in Spanish.
