CDCU Institute

The Inclusiv established the CDCU Institute™ in 1999 to help credit unions expand access to financial services in low-income and minority communities across the country. From its inception in 1999 through 2012, the CDCU Institute™ has provided advanced management training to staff and board members from organizations, with graduates successfully completing the training. The Institute has been particularly helpful for smaller credit unions seeking to grow and expand their products and services. The Institute has also helped larger credit unions seeking to serve low-income communities. The Institute also offers training for groups looking to organize a credit union.

Future Plans for CDCU Institute

In 2013, Inclusiv is collaborating with our long-time partner CUNA Management School (CMS) to support CDCU attendees at the two-week training in Madison, WI. Inclusiv will also be offering a workshop to all CMS attendees on resources and tools for reaching low-income members, including low-income designation. Beginning in 2014, the Institute will offer workshops online. The same quality workshops on financial management, marketing, lending and operations will be available at your fingertips. Watch out for additional information about the Institute Online!
