2021 Inclusiv Board Elections:
Meet Your New Board Members!

The results are in! At the Inclusiv Business Meeting on September 21, Inclusiv announced the results of our Board election. A total of five seats were up for election: two (2) Region 1 seats and three (3) At-Large seats. In this year of unprecedented growth, the 2021 Board election had its largest pool of nominees ever at a total of 33!

Inclusiv congratulates Kathy Chartier, Blanche Jackson,
Aurelio Arroyo González and Hank Hubbard on being elected to the Inclusiv Board of Directors. We also congratulate Jack Lawson for being reelected! Welcome into the fold! We also thank all of the incredible nominees and look forward to working with them in the year ahead on committees and other projects.

"Inclusiv is thankful to have received 33 nominations for this year’s Board of Directors election. Our 406 credit union members are very engaged with how Inclusiv can best advance the mission of financial inclusion and racial equity for their communities. All of our nominees are passionate, committed, and thoughtful individuals who will steer Inclusiv’s course for the next three years and into the future," said Cathie Mahon, President and CEO, Inclusiv.

Region 1

At-Large

Much of Inclusiv's growth has been fueled by the increasing number of credit unions committed to financial inclusion racial equity. This is particularly evident with the significant growth of our Puerto Rico membership -- now over 80 members and counting. In response, our Board of Directors took the necessary steps to revamp the regional structure, adding a new fifth region -- Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.

"In line with our commitment to diversity and representation, the Board has committed two At-large Board seats to credit unions under $100 million in assets. This will ensure that the full range of our membership has a strong voice and influence in our leadership and decision-making," said Richard Romero, Inclusiv Board Chair and CEO of Seattle Credit Union.

Kathy, Blanche, Aurelio, Hank and Jack will provide leadership and governance; contribute expertise and resources; actively participate in committees; promote Inclusiv within and beyond the credit union field; and represent and support member CDCUs. We proudly welcome these incredible leaders to continue to propel our movement upward and onward!
