Celebrate International Credit Union Day with Inclusiv
October 21st marks International Credit Union (ICU) Day, which recognizes the history, achievements, and objectives of the global credit union movement in tackling today's challenges for a better future. We're making the world take notice of how credit unions exemplify the "people helping people" philosophy.
In celebration, Inclusiv is reflecting on the tireless work of our credit union members in bringing financial inclusion and equity to the communities they serve. While helping low- and moderate-income people and communities achieve financial independence, our network is also tackling important issues such as climate change, racial and economic inequality, and disaster relief.
Below are upcoming opportunities to join us in celebrating ICU Day by learning more and engaging with this vibrant international movement:

Credit Unions and Climate Change
At least 85 percent of the global population has experienced weather events made worse by climate change, according to research published Monday in the journal Nature Climate Change. The findings come amid a major push to get countries to commit to more ambitious climate goals ahead of a United Nations summit in Glasgow, Scotland, next month.
Credit unions are taking action from becoming financial first responders in the aftermath of natural disasters to helping build more resilient communities. What can we do?
