Climate Justice in the United States
10:45 AM - 11:30 AM EDT / 7:45 AM - 8:30 AM PDT
Hear from three essential perspectives focused on the pursuit of a just energy transition: an expert on federal legislation, a leading financial intermediary, and a solar developer. The panelists will discuss the importance of the federal Clean Energy and Sustainability Accelerator, the promise of green banks, ways to dramatically increase the scale of capital for low- and moderate-income communities and communities of color, and the promise of solar deployment with an explicit focus on social equity. Each of these lens are complementary and critical to achieving the broader ambition of climate justice.

How Can We Address Climate Readiness Through Community Investment?
3:15 PM - 4:00 PM EDT / 12:15 PM - 1:00 PM PDT
Climate change poses a greater risk for low to middle-income people, communities of color, women, children, and the elderly. However, many investors still may not see a conceptual link between investing in climate solutions and community development. This panel will showcase climate investment to address systemic climate change and the unequal impact on underserved communities. We’ll discover innovative projects and new ways to address climate change through community investment.
