Inclusiv invites you to our next virtual Town Hall on Tuesday, July 9 at 1:15 PM ET, for a conversation on CDFI developments. Please join us to get an update on Inclusiv’s advocacy efforts and policy developments. We’ll be joined by Paul Anderson, VP at Rapoza Associates which leads the CDFI Coalition’s advocacy work. The second part of our call will focus on CDFI recertification, key things you need to know, new deadlines and recent changes.

Paul Anderson
Vice President,
Rapoza Associates

Paul Anderson is Vice President of Rapoza Associates, a public interest lobbying firm in Washington, DC.

Paul works to advance the legislative priorities of community and economic development clients, including the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) Coalition and CDFI Coalition, by lobbying Congress and federal agencies on their behalf. He is the author of the NMTC Coalition’s annual Progress Report, a publication based on the Coalition’s annual survey of CDEs.

Previously he served as Director of Programs at the George Mason University Center for Social Entrepreneurship, and in Congressional Affairs at the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Paul is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a degree in Political Science.

Alexis Iwanisziw
SVP, Policy and Communications,

Alexis Iwanisziw leads Inclusiv’s policy and communications strategies. Prior to joining Inclusiv, Ms. Iwanisziw served as Chief of Staff to the President at Low Income Investment Fund and was previously the Deputy Director of New Economy Project. She began her career in the Research and Statistics Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Ms. Iwanisziw is also a volunteer board and supervisory committee member of the Lower East Side People’s Federal Credit Union. She holds a BA in Mathematics and Economics from Bryn Mawr College and a MSW with a focus on Community Organization and Planning from Hunter College School of Social Work.

Terry Ratigan

Terry Ratigan serves Inclusiv as a Senior Consultant and is a leading analyst of credit union performance and impact in low-income and underserved communities. In 2010 he developed a statistical methodology to evaluate credit union activities in CDFI Target Markets and eligibility for CDFI certification that has been used for hundreds of credit union certifications to date. An adapted version of this methodology served as the basis for the 2011 revision of the NCUA Final Rule on Low-Income Designation and CDFI Fund guidance on target market analysis. In 2013 he developed the Capacity and Community Development Index to help credit unions increase their impact through the targeted expansion of products and services that are highly valued in low-income and emerging markets. Recent publications include CDFI Certification: A Building Block for Credit Union Growth, Performance Profiles and Prospects for CDFI Credit Unions (CUNA, 2014); Partnerships for Financial Capability; Diagnostic Frameworks for Financial Institutions and Partners, (CFSI & NFCDCU, 2015); and Inclusive Finance: Financial Performance and Economic Impact of Community Development Credit Unions (Inclusiv, 2018).
