About Half of Lower-Income Americans Report Household Job or Wage Loss Due to COVID-19
Pew Social Trends released a Pew Research Center survey finding the following:
- 23% of lower-income Americans have emergency funds that would last three months
- 52% of lower-income adults say they or someone in their household has experienced job loss or a pay cut
- 24% say they cannot pay some of their bills or can only make partial payment on them in a typical month (32% for this month & 44% for Hispanics this month)
