Rudy Medina serves as Co-President of Self-Help Federal Credit Union, a member-owned financial institution that provides comprehensive services. In his role, Rudy oversees all aspects of operations, including Lending and Retail Operations, for the Illinois and Wisconsin markets. The organization currently manages a deposit portfolio of $2 billion dollars and serves approximately 93,000 members residing in three predominantly Latino and African-American communities in Illinois and Wisconsin.  Born and raised in the 1970s, Medina spent his early childhood in the La Villita neighborhood in Chicago, where his parents had a local business. However, his family moved to Mexico when he was young. At the age of 18, Medina returned to Chicago and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and MBA from Northeastern Illinois University. In 2013, Medina's notable achievements led to his inclusion in the prestigious "40 under 40" list by Crain's Chicago Business Magazine, recognizing his exemplary contributions to the field. Additionally, he actively engages in civic commitment by serving on various boards of local non-profit organizations, demonstrating his dedication to community service.  Overall, Rudy Medina's extensive experience, coupled with his passion for community development and financial empowerment, makes him an invaluable leader.
