Ian Forster
General Counsel
Ian Forster is Inclusiv’s General Counsel. Ian has experience as a litigator and as an in-house nonprofit attorney. He began his legal career as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the New York City Law Department’s General Litigation Division, handling complex civil litigation in federal and state courts on behalf of the City of New York and its agencies.
Immediately prior to joining Inclusiv, Ian helped lead the United Way of New York City’s Justice & Opportunity unit, managing subcontracting and compliance for community impact programs. Before law school, Ian worked as a high school teacher and a program manager in a national nonprofit.
Ian holds a BA from Gettysburg College and a JD from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. He is admitted to practice in NY, NJ, and PA, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
