Jesús Obrero Cooperativa Delivers PPE and More to Local Dominican Community

On June 12, Jesus Obrero Cooperativa, an Inclusiv/Juntos Avanzamos credit union and CDFI in Puerto Rico met with Hon. Franklin Grullón, Consul General of the Consulate of the Dominican Republic in Puerto Rico to donate personal protective equipment (PPE) and other materials for the Dominican community that serves in both offices.

"...In addition, these teams will serve as a protective measure for officials and volunteers who will work on the three food deliveries to the community scheduled for Monday, June 15, 2020. Food deliveries will be made from 9:00 am on Fernández Juncos Avenue corner Calle del Parque, in front of Mercantil Plaza and in San Mateo de Crab Parish in San Jorge Street in Santurce."

"...we have distinguished ourselves in financially assisting a large immigrant community that shares our desires, dreams and illusions as a society. This work with the immigrant community was recognized in the designation Together We Advanced that the institution obtained last year, becoming the first Savings and Credit Cooperative on the Island to have this honorable distinction."

Cooperativa Jesús Obrero is the first Juntos Avanzamos credit union in Puerto Rico, and is committed to serving and empowering immigrant communities.
