The Diversity, Equity and, Inclusion (DEI) Renaissance
2022 was a banner year for the Inclusiv, the African-American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC), and credit unions serving Black communities. AACUC received the National Credit Union Foundation’s prestigious Anchor Award and Chicago’s Faith Based Credit Union Alliance received the Herb Wegner Memorial Award. In this issue of our joint Black History Month publication, we feature three newly chartered Black-led and Black-serving credit unions, faith-based credit unions, a credit union in the US Virgin Islands, two Black women CEOs of billion dollar credit unions, and a meeting hosted in Illinois with the Congressional Black Caucus.
