Press Conference: Senator Schumer Speaks about PPP Legislation, Genesee Co-Op Featured
Yesterday, July 8, Senator Chuck Schumer held a press conference near Rochester, NY to speak about PPP legislation. Melissa Marquez, CEO of Genesee Co-Op and two of the credit union's small business owner members were highlighted. Senator Schumer is pushing for the program to allow employers with less than 100 employees to re-apply for a second round lasting an additional eight weeks. He urged small businesses previously rejected from the PPP to reapply, as qualifications have been updated and reforms have been made to ensure those most in need receive funds.
