The economic and societal challenges of 2020 brought much needed attention to existing racial and economic inequalities, sparking a cultural shift toward advancing DEI throughout various institutions. We'll discuss the groundbreaking $12 billion appropriations for CDFI and MDI institutions in the COVID stimulus bill and how credit unions can transform their diversity, equity and inclusion commitments from ideas into actionable steps.
Monica Davy, Director of the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion at the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), will discuss the NCUA’s Annual Diversity Self-Assessment for credit unions and the importance of its findings. Amy Nelson, President and CEO of Point West Credit Union, will share her credit union's experience with the survey and advancing equity and inclusion within the diverse communities across Portland, OR.
