The Peabody Memphis is legendary for its charm, history and the Peabody ducks! Opened in 1869, the hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is world famous for its resident ducks who march through the lobby at 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM every day. TRAVEL INFORMATION
The Memphis International Airport (MEM) is located 10 miles and a 15 minute drive from The Peabody Memphis. The cost of a taxi from the airport to the hotel is about $25.
The latest update from the CDC recommends delaying travel until you are full vaccinated. Masks are required to be worn inside U.S. transportation areas and hubs including airplanes and airports. Do not travel if you are sick. For local COVID updates visit Memphis Travel.

Uber and Lyft are also currently operating at the Memphis airport.

DESTINATION
Located on the Mississippi River in southwest Tennessee, Memphis was at the center of the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960’s. Today it is home to the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel; it was at the Lorraine Motel that Martin Luther King was assassinated in April 1968. No visit to Memphis is complete without a visit to the museum.
Memphis is famous for the influential strains of blues, soul and rock 'n' roll that originated there. Elvis Presley, B.B. King and Johnny Cash recorded albums at the legendary Sun Studio, and Presley’s Graceland mansion is a popular attraction. Other music landmarks include the Rock 'n' Soul Museum, Blues Hall of Fame and Stax Museum of American Soul Music.
