As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, the September Town Hall will highlight the national impact of Juntos Avanzamos-designated credit unions in advancing financial inclusion in Latino communities. We’ll hear from Miguel Colón Robles, CEO of Coop Rodríguez Hidalgo (CRH) and Inclusiv Board Member, who will break down the recent Federal Home Loan Bank victory for cooperativas, a milestone that strengthens community lenders and reflects what coordinated advocacy can achieve. We’ll also be joined by Chelsia Neto, CDFI Program Officer at Connections Credit Union, featured in the upcoming Hispanic Heritage Month edition of the Juntos Avanzamos Inclusiv Insights Magazine, who will share frontline perspectives on expanding access, dignity, and opportunity for Latino members. Stephen Pagenstecher, Chief Innovation Officer at Point West CU, will also be uplifting Point West's tenth Juntos Avanzamos anniversary and discussing advocacy efforts to protect immigrants’ access to the financial system. The session will also feature timely policy and advocacy updates, including ways credit unions can get involved in advancing financial inclusion for all.
