Inclusiv Mourns the Loss of Kathy Chartier
It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we share the passing of our board member, Kathy L. Chartier, President & CEO of Members Credit Union in Stamford, CT.
Kathy was a friend, mentor, and steadfast advocate for the credit union movement. Her career, spanning more than three decades, was built around a passion for service and a commitment to helping others improve their lives, beginning with the members she served every day.
Kathy was a fierce champion of small credit unions and demonstrated a remarkable commitment to the principles of financial inclusion. She lived that commitment through the warm, welcoming embrace she extended to everyone — within her credit union and throughout the broader movement.
Kathy served on Inclusiv’s board for the last five years representing Region 1. Inclusiv and our member credit unions benefited immeasurably from her expertise, advocacy, and care. This year we were proud to celebrate her well-deserved receipt of the National Credit Union Foundation’s Herb Wegner Memorial Award that recognized the incredible impact Kathy’s work had on her community, colleagues, and friends.
Our deepest sympathies go to her family, friends, and the entire credit union family at Members Credit Union.
