Financial Empowerment Learning Center

The Financial Empowerment Learning Center currently offers two trainings and a monthly webinar series to support Community Development Credit Unions in building their capacity to deliver impactful in-house financial empowerment services and programs that provide pathways for their members and communities to build towards their financial goals and overall financial well-being over time.

Introduction to Financial Empowerment: Designed as an entry point to the Center, this self-paced course provides credit union leaders and staff with an overview of foundational financial empowerment concepts and program design considerations, including how financial empowerment programming can be integrated with financial service delivery.  

Building and Managing Strong Financial Coaching Programs: In this course, participants will learn best practices for developing and operating a high-impact credit union financial coaching program.  The course will lead and support participants to create a plan to either launch a new financial coaching program or grow an existing program at their credit union.  

Webinar Series: This monthly series occurs on the last Thursday of every month at 2:30 EST. Webinars may feature guest speakers from CDCUs currently delivering financial coaching or counseling services or cover critical topics in the world of financial empowerment and feature opportunities for learning, sharing and building all our capacity to deliver financially inclusive products and services.
